AOL 6.0 Installation nightmares
Hey it's new so it has to be better! You upgrade to 6.0 and now
you find yourself in a mess. You can no longer print or perhaps even get on the
Internet. The 1st system I got looked fine but could not connect to the
Internet. I checked everything and couldn't find anything wrong. Un-installing
and re-installing an early version didn't help and even installing another Web
service didn't help. As a last resort, I upgraded the system to Internet
Explorer 5.5 SP1 and everything starting working again - sometimes you just
don't ask why!
I have found 2 solutions to most AOL problems:
1) Upgrade your browser to Internet Explorer 5.5 SP1. If you
still have problem continue to step #2
2) Remove AOL, restart your system and remove Dial-up-adapter,
restart your system again and now Re-install AOL
